If confession really is good for the soul, then it may be worthwhile for the Catholic Church to consider the following respectful suggestion:

When suppliants enter the booth during the next 365 days, it is for the purpose of hearing the priest's confession!

Perhaps that may help the 'new Pope's drive' for forgiveness to be more effective.
